But as a consolation for the thousands of fans expecting to see Cloud and the gang during the 40-minute showcase, they announced that Rebirth would be getting a dedicated State of Play on February 6 beginning at 3:30 p.m. PST. Just over two weeks ago, we reported that Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete would be returning to theaters just before the launch of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth because of placeholder pages for the CG film popping up on several online ticket retailers. As an update to that article, the placeholder pages are now live, and advanced ticket sales for the film’s limited theatrical rerelease are officially underway. In an interview with Japanese gaming and pop culture publication, Famitsu, Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida confirmed at least two other content patches following the release of 6.55 on January 16. “After patch 6.55, patches will continue intermittently with patches 6.57 and 6.58,” Yoshida in the translated interview. “So I hope you will enjoy a variety of content until 7.0.” Additionally, Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P, provided some details on what to expect from the upcoming Growing Light Part 2 update. If you were like me, you spent a lot of time in vain after the Final Fantasy XIV Tokyo Fan Fest keynote trying to confirm the name and spelling of the female Hrothgar that debuted in the full Dawntrail trailer. However, nothing official ever came from the Final Fantasy XIV team or Square Enix, so for more than a day after the trailer’s release, she’s just been identified as a “female Hrothgar whose name we can’t spell.” That is until now!
