Chocobo Racing 3D

Originally announced at the 2010 E3 Expo, Chocobo Racing 3D was going to be a racing game centering around Chocobo in a racing-style game for the Nintendo 3DS. It was not known if this was going to be a stand-alone game, a remake of the original Chocobo Racing game from 1999, or possibly even a squeal. Unfortunately, on October 10, 2013, the director of the original Chocobo Racing game Takashi Tokita announced the game was canceled. In a 2014 interview, Shinji Hashimoto (producer and director of various Final Fantasy and Chocobo games) said that the game was canceled because Square-Enix was not happy with the quality of the game.
