Final Fantasy was the game that started it all. Originally release on December 18th, 1987 for the Famicom in Japan it was brought to America on the NES on July 12, 1990. It has been moved to 4multiple other systems including the Game Boy Advanced and Playstation. Considering the time it came out it had pretty good graphics and great game play. Unlike a lot of the new games out today where you have to do certain things in a certain order, Final Fantasy gave you the freedom to explore your world while still having a great story. This game has a long play time and a great replay value. There are a few downsides of course. Some parts where harder then they should have been for the level of your characters at the time, You had to strategically plan your attacks since after a monster died any one set to attack them would just waist there attack, and a few times you are really not sure where to go. If you want to play the great game that started it all try and get this game (you should be able to score it for about $30 from eBay for the original NES system), or get the remake (they seam to have fixed the attacking bug, added a 3D map, and updated the graphics) in Final Fantasy Origins.
